I went to the Doncaster game with my son, who recently watched Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. He assured me that (like at the Emirates) we would not be able to bring rucksacks (with flask, sandwiches etc) into the ground; however, when we got in I saw several fans with small haversacks and wondered exactly what the rules are.

Can anyone direct me to where I can find out?

PS What a day that was..... I am still buzzing!

If you're in the 1901, you can't bring one of these....

I would say a bit of common sense is required

If this is your rucksack then NO

But if its one of these, which is surely big enough to fit a flask and sandwich in the probably YES

I beleive you can bring a Lima train set in as long as it has all the correct points and signals set.

Obviously there is a full scale Hornby layout in the 01 club for everyones enjoyment although Bob Booker does hog the controls somewhat.

I'll be there with a rucksack tonight as I'll be going straight from work. Maybe I'll be able to smuggle a chocolate bar in amongst my work clothes

I think a rucksack should be okay as long as it's not big enough to fit one of the HD TVs in. And wear your scarf around you neck, not your face.

We had a rucksack with 2 water bottles, with lids I hasten to add, sun cream, packets of sweets and a couple of baseball caps.
We were checked but let straight through with no problems.

I suspect it depends which stand you are sitting in. I took a MAN BAG with food and a camera and bits and bobs into the family stand.

I think a rucksack should be okay

If you're a bit tanned probably not a good idea to combine this with a puffa jacket though.
