I like MUM too. Another treat I discovered from the sadly now defunct Mixing It programme on Radio 3.

oooooohhhh......I'm liking that OOIOO with Umo very much

btw, as we're on Japan and we both love our Reggae/Ska, ever heard of -Dry & Heavy - ? I saw them at Womad one time and they were superb.

Got a very quirky OOIOO album that you'll love then. Not heard of Dry and Heavy. What would you recommend? But talking of Womad and ska - how about Ska Cubano who I saw at Womad a few years back. (I'm betting you know them much better than me)

Liking things a little deeper....................

Gotta love this, deep & dubby with cool vocal

Top top tune. I was always a big fan of EBTG from the old bedsit rock days but then when he did Walking Wounded, he blew me away. That album was never off my cd player. And his Buzzin Fly stuff is just everyone's favourite party compilation. Saw him in Ibiza a year or two back. A great DJ. Thanks for sharing.

Never heard of Ska Cubano. I like what I've just heard though. Not actually got any Dry & Heavy in my collection as it goes. Mate had a couple of theirs and never got around to doing proper swapsies before he went and buggered off to NZ

You could start here I suppose as you like a bit of dub ?

The techno stuff in that is brill esp around the 3 min mark. Thanks. Will definitely dig round for more of this stuff. It's as if someone's taken a standard dub tune and put it through the blender. I like it a lot.

That Poker face video is as good as it gets. Love the dancing in it.

Ever heard of Brighton folkies, Peggy Sue and the Pirates? If you like Florence and the Machine then you'll probably like them

Shame there's no decent videos of the Bobby McGees on youtube

Spanish Seagulls,

First got into EBTG on hearing their Eden album. Sorry to change the vibe a bit, but forgive me for posting this one.

You like your house music DEEP. You can trace the roots of that stuff straight back to Chicago House. Especially liking the first one. Second one needs a few listens but for some reason reminds me of this absolute classic.

Buzzer,

Can't believe you've just posted Peggy Sue and The Pirates ! :yahoo:

Took the kids to see them at the De La Warr last summer I think it was. MY wife, a mad superman fan loves their Superman tune. All of us in this house go mad for it. Will go and try to find it now.
