Right, as we all know, we beat the European Champions at the weekend,

if we created a replica cup, that got passed on to the next team that beat us (league, cups games).........

i.e say we lost to Swindon, they get the cup, then they lose to Hartlepool in the league and pass the cup to them...

How long before we get anouther chance of winning the cup back ? or will it eventually pass on to Europe and never come back ?

Didn't AC Milan beat Chelski as well though in America? :/

Yes - minor details - But it Starts now, with the first game on English soil (also if you are a true Pendant, then we should not have won with a "friendly" game)

so, lets see where it goes from now

If we win then yes they could have won it, if we lose then we will change the rules so that Testimonials do not count

Great idea, but surely it should only count in competitive games?

Basically you are just ripping off this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unofficial_Football_World_Championships

Also if you are going to start messing around with the rules to favour certain teams, like us for example, then it will get ridiculous.

Oh and you have to assume that Bayern Munich were Champions beforehand and that Chelsea took the title off them.

Albion & England forever.

Not really ripping-off - just stemmed from a conversation on saturday

Still, you can dig through 140 years of league results if you whant to create a league / club version

I personally will Keep a record of the WWL Nomand Cup

- starting with the first ever visit of reigning champions league winners, to the Amex
- and to be passed on (from now) with the results of competitive matches

If you don't want to be involved, don't tune in

But how do we decide when it ends? Surely it will just go on and on?

yes - unless a current holder goes out of business ?

but the opening post pondered :

"How long before we get another chance of winning the cup back ? or will it eventually pass on to Europe and never come back ?"

the fun is to see if it will cross out path again, or move on to south america with the "supercup" etc

I think you have to assume it starts from scratch every season, or every four years in the case of the World Cup version.

Perhaps there could be 2, one on a European basis and one just for the Championship.

Would it not be better to have a point system? Every sucessful defence of the cup (win/draw) earns a point, and whoever has accumulated the highest unbeaten run while holding the cup wins.
