So that's 3 players with CL experience we've signed in the last month.

Seems CL experience is now a prerequisite to sign for the Albion these days, as it should be.

If you keep signing Premier League quality players, as a Championship club, it's got to be said, you're having a go.

Great news both for us and the player at 31 stepping down into the Championship will add 2/3 years to his playing career

Don't think we plan to be in the Championship for the next 2/3 years.

It does appear- and this makes me a tad nervous- that we will have the highest paid player in the Championship next season, even if we're only paying a fraction of it.

I can't believe even the promotion favourites, whichever team that is this season, are paying anybody £90,000 per week. None of the clubs who were relegated from the Premier League are in that kind of wage bracket.

Holy crap. No pressure, Wayne.

But being serious now...this is a fine signing indeed. Dropping down a division is probably what Bridge needs, regular footie which will put him in the shop window next year.

Nice work chaps, thought this was pie in the sky when i first heard the rumour.

I agree with Gus, in his time one of the best three left backs around. Until Shearer broke his ankle in 2005.

Wayne Bridge - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Sunderland Echo says that Man city will still be playing 90% of his wages.

I thought he was one of the best left backs I have seen (behind Beattie in the seventies) when he played at Withdean.

He was always a fit player and he could be an ever present.
