Jarrett move is a gamble
by Andy Naylor
ALBION manager Mark McGhee warned Watford today that Albert Jarrett could flatter to deceive after earning a dream move to the Premiership.
The enigmatic young winger is moving from the Seagulls to the Premiership newcomers on a free transfer following a trial at Vicarage Road.
It is an extraordinary break for Jarrett, a peripheral figure for most of his time at Albion, but McGhee said: "It doesn't surprise me.
"If he has gone up there and done the same thing he did when he was here for the first couple of weeks then he probably impressed. It will be in the longer term. Maybe with what happened to him here the penny will drop.
"They are taking him for exactly the same reasons we did. When he came here for the first couple of weeks on trial he looked as if he had something really different.
"He's got that explosive pace, he can cross a ball with his left foot.
"They've taken him up there and seen the same thing but we've never seen it since really from Albert. That's why we're not going to wait any longer."
Unsettled striker Colin Kazim-Richards will have to convince McGhee this week he is in the right frame of mind to earn a recall to the squad for Saturday's trip to Nottingham Forest.
Kazim-Richards, who had a transfer request rejected last week, was left out for the second game running as Albion squandered an early two-goal cushion against Brentford at Withdean on Saturday.
McGhee said: "Until we're convinced that Colin's head is sorted and that Colin is with us then he won't be on the bench.
"We will be talking to him again this week and trying to turn his head to believing that he should be here
