Almunia in goal is a very good signing. They improved massively when they signed Kuszczak last season, so they've signed the poor man's PIG and snapped up Almunia. Other than that, they've signed a lot of players as a favour to owners/sponsors. Presumably.

Is that Fitz Hall they've signed? If so, that's very wise.

Bringing in that number at once is not always wise. Players take time to settle, especially into a new country.
Think of talent like Harley, CMS, Hopkins, all good players but not at their best yet. Try and build a virtually new team, complete with new coaches & manager and their's more than a fair chance it will fail, especially as the fans will have raised expectations.

The players that have been sent to Watford from Udinese and Granada will not have a problem with the physical side of the championship, They are not kids, Pudil is 25 and has
22 caps for Czech R, Abdi is 25 and 6 caps for the Swiss played 40 games for Udinese in the last two seasons both have played in the champions league, Vydra is 20 had problems with injury last year but Udinese paid 4 mil euro's for him two years ago, Beleck is 19 played for AEK Athens last year and is highly rated, Anya is 24 born in Glasgow played for Cadiz last season the only one that could be a gamble. The director of football has said that there are more to come, rumours are that Tommy Smith and Dj Campbell will also sign

Fair enough. Close to your limit on loan players soon. Campbell will be a good signing - getting the whole shooting match to gel might be an issue but at least you are heading forwards again. Still predict you are likely to have very good games or very bad ones and not much inbetween for that reason and maybe likely to need a very good second half to the season if you are going to challenge. Won't put it past you but think it's less likely.
