So many players are out of work now surely 3 months is better than none.

That's what Rougier did last season for Brentford and for Bristol City after turning us down.

I am not saying sign Rougier up but what I am saying is that players are going to be looking for work.
The market has changed and players cannot be so choosy anymore.

Maybe Yorkie...but I think we can safely assume that only the poorest players are going to be offered very short contracts. But I agree owt is better than nowt.

After the play off finals Chris Kamara and Brian Little said on sky that they thought that we needed 7 new players to survive next season but what do they know?

All this soul searching and doom mongering is great fun, but lets not forget that MM has managed at Div One level before, and knows precisely what is required. Given that we ain't got any money, there are few managers I'd rather have than McGhee to pull us through. Whatever happens, it's better than facing a new season with Hinshelwood in charge. Two years ago we were full of false optimism, now I detect false pessimism. Let's get some BALANCE :)

At least we won't need to worry about goalkeepers, with Kuipers,
Roberts and the youngster Martin all signed up.
We've got at least nine capable defenders too, so things could
be worse.:)

I am hopeful that MM with his knowledge of this division, his tactical know how and hopefully his sigle mindedness of I am the boss do it my way or get sonmebody else i.e not a lapdog puppet he will bring in the players that HE wants and that we will finish at least as the bookies (by the assorted odds in The Sun Sat) are tipping 5th Bottom. They do not make many mistakes on odds They suggest Burnley Rotherham Gillingham and Crewe to finish below us.

Surprised Crewe have been picked out as relegation fodder.

Normally they are quite good.

Talking to a Burnley fan in Blackburn this morning and he was saying that Burnley only have 9 first team players on their books at the moment - they are going to struggle and have no money to bring in decent players so they will be filling the gaps with youngsters and loan players.
At least we are not in that kind of trouble.
