Virgil van Dijk - move back on? (Not presently)

In the first edition of International Football Johan Derksen in 2013 came with the news out of which we had already suspected: the English Brighton will soon have a new and improved bid for the talented Virgil van Dijk. According to Virgil's agent, Martin Henk Chin, this will be a bid that FC Groningen can not refuse.

Chin has the past week, presumably frequent, contact with Brighton & Hove Albion. The club from the second-highest division in the English football has very ambitious plans and wants within three years promoted to the Premier League. Virgil van Dijk is an important role to play.

We begin increasingly to fear that Van Dijk within ten days, signing a contract with another club. About what happens to FC Groningen will happen in the remainder of the current season, we hardly think. It is hoped that there is already a decent replacement ready, otherwise the bill squeezing and trying to escape the relegation zone.

I would be very excited if we can pull this off under the noses of some stiff competition! Having a big one at the back would certainly make it more difficult for teams to penetrate us.

Very excited. Love to see Dijk in Brighton! Would help him grow as he'd start and we play the right passing football. He could make the Premier League with us as a starter, rather than sitting on a bench or going out on loan. Best stadium, best city to live in, best style of football and team-mates like Bridge, Vicente etc. what more could he want
