That's crazy. Isn't that what a European squad is for Keep it seperate from the league if need be? I don't really get that decision. We can loan to every other team in the UEL though if we wanted....? What's the difference

Joao Cancelo played in the CL against Man City for Bayern last season, whilst still employed by City. (most recent example I can think of).

Well the difference is that we don't have influence over those clubs. But i agree it's hard to see how that would be a material difference in the actual play of the game compared to loaning a player to a team in the same competition that you don't have ownership influence over.

Tony still has an investment in USG, he’s just sold or transferred part of his shares to his business partner and their chairman Alex Muzio to make him the majority shareholder. I can’t see that changing as there is every chance that we could end up in European competition together again.

We only loaned them one player last season as far as I can remember. That was Simon Adingra and that was to get a work permit as well as play at a decent level that had worked for us before in giving a player valuable experience.

Lots of clubs will still want our players such is our reputation now and rules have changed so we might no need to use the loan market to get someone a work permit now.

They are considering the construction of a new 17,000 all seater which would be more befitting. It has all gone a bit quiet on that front though. i.e not much internet news on it since January.

Went last night to watch St Liege against USG.
USG by far the better team, well organised and clear patterns play. Nice goal too.
Liege though were poor. Going down to 10 men in the first half didn’t help and ruined the game a bit.
