Trouble?

Because there were Brighton fans everywhere in the home end, in the corporate boxes, below the corporate boxes.

I was in the director's box - didn't see any trouble, but the noise was fantastic from the Albion. I've often wondered when singing with the away fans how much noise is really created, but it was more than I could have imagined - all you could hear was the Albion fans. Top stuff.

Incidently, there were 5-6 of us in the box who celebrated in a muted fashion and no-one made a fuss. West Ham fans were amazingly quiet though.

there were three of us sat in the dr martens stand upper tier.
it was the first time i have sat in the home end at an away match and i never want to have to do it again.

it took all the fun out of supporting our fabulous boys.

our support was truly awesome and all the home crowd did was moan.

my dad did jump up and clap when we scored but quickly backtracked with a rather dubious "oh i thought we had kept the ball out!" which cracked me up. when we got back to the car it was a massive cheer!!!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Went into one of the members' lounges afterwards for a quick pint with a mate who used to be one of WH's chefs. He said he couldn't believe our reaction when we scored. Said there was this slight half-second time delay, then the stand just exploded. Said he's never seen the away end erupt like it did yesterday!!

Interesting grab from the KUMB forum, below, seems that apart from ott goading, the trouble was all committed by WH fans...

A lot of people seem to be asking what happened and I'm reading a few accounts that need clarifying. The Brighton fans in the box where being total twats I agree and when they were celebrating there goal and giving it large alot of people starting coining them some coins where bouncing off the box and going in the players families seats which made a few of them get up and leave. There was a security guard in the suit flapping like a good un! One of the Brighton who was leaning over mockin our fans had his mobile in his pocket and it fell out into the seats below which was highley amusing! The Brighton fan on the pitch was chased on there by a few west ham and the stewards took an age to get to him and when the steward (only one!) got there one of our lot clocked the brighton fan in the face knocking him over...

:lolol: Have used similar tactics in home ends at away games before when involuntarily jumping up at an Albion goal chance and then quickly making out I was jumping up to shout at the defender/keeper for not doing better.

couldn't have put it better mate! I never actually realised until now how much actually cheering your team on makes the day that much better, it was the first time i sat in the home end at an away match and I too doubt I'll be doing it again.

The trouble in front of the box in the front rows was due to my mate jumping up and down like a lunatic when we scored! After disscusing all morning that if we scored we would not react, his little jig in front of 20 plus Phil Mitchel look alikes somewhat took me aback!!!  Luckily a kindly stewardess:angel: saw our predicament and suggested we follow her incase some of the above Mitchels verbally abused us. We were then escorted up the tunnel and shown to the players lounge, where we were given coffee. Most hospitable.Might have been hospital if we remained with are Hammer friends.Great result and great day had by all.Terry

You really do have to be very careful if in the away end.

Shouldn't celebrate it will cause trouble.

I had to sit on my hand 5 times when Australia played England a year or so ago!! me being the only Australian in The Waterside in Shoreham!!
