The start of his season was satisfactory, he scored 1 goal in 12 matches, but too often played like a bit of a joker, He attracted the eye of the Cameroon coach who selected him for the CAN tournament

Now thats the translation lads:lolol: :lolol:

Must try harder with the translations:drink:

It's positive news that we are looking at a number of players. Whether they are any good or not will be found out but at least there's some activity.

What do the amounts of money at the end mean? I can't imagine for one minute that Scarborough were able to afford £95k to buy a player, so what is it referring to?

They are estimated valuations based on the age, quality, and performance of the player...

Quote from the Argus match report in April:

"Leo Mendy was once again outstanding. Here is the archetypal Conference defender - rugged, fearless and a handful at set pieces"

Sounds OK, except for the Conference bit.

The jump from a decent Conference side to League 1 or 2 isn't that big imo. Look how many teams have gone from Conference to League 1 in a couple of seasons, retaining some of the Conference players.

Rugged and fearless is good in League 1 isn't it???

If 2 out of the 5 are decent I will be very happy.

I agree. Not all of these players will be brilliant but if we can find a few players to strengthen the squad and play a big part next season then we've done well.
