Just noticed you can cut 20mins off your journey time if go from 'Wivelsfield' via Lewes.
Rather than heading into Brighton and out.

Good tip! I'm a fellow Hillian and I would've done the BH -> Brighton -> Falmer route too. I think I've only ever been on the Lewes line when I've headed down for Bonfire night, so had no idea that Falmer was on the same line?
It's not on the same line. You have to change at Lewes.

I thought the best way was, go to PP stn, then train to falmer from there?

Judging by that map, i'm going to get off at Cocksbridge and walk ten minutes to Falmer. Lovely.

I live in Southwick.
I went to Cooksbridge before and was waiting for a train. Was told by a guy that they don't stop there on the weekend.
That was about 4 years ago though.
