That works - to an extent. The backlog of people waiting for the earlier trains causes longer load/unload times, delaying the late/now back to normal train, causing a further delay.

A fried of mine was a tube driver who had a "successful" suicide in front of his train. Totally screwed him up and he never drove a tube again.
