Remember when Boris Johnson disappeared on that trip to Italy without anyone knowing where he was going or why he went there? Well...

It's odd that Diane Abbot getting a number wrong once is played and referred to so much but the Home Secretary showing her lack of understanding on a very basic thing doesn't

Who knows why. Different reporting. Different media outlets. Different agendas. Neither of them should be anywhere near senior office anyway. Diane Abbott is useless but means well. Priti Patel is useless, but doesn't mean well.

I have a feeling Abbott is quite capable in the right role. Unfortunately for her, that role isn't a public-facing cabinet-level ministerial role. She needs to be a lower-pressure, away from the public eye, type of role.

More realistic about £££££s. We're skint already due to COVID and Ukraine.

Ah.

So, Labour putting us in far LESS debt - frivolous and unnecessary spending and must have austerity to follow. Definitely nothing to do with a global financial crash caused by financial services.

Tories putting us in far more debt, all Covid and the Ukraine and nothing to do with 12 years of actually mis-managing the debt and Brexit.

Righty ho.

Oh dear ****ing god …. Nowhere In this universe was Corbyn a decent opposition leader. Useless as well as clueless, he spent his time wishing he was still leading demos in the 1970’s, something for which we are now paying the price.

The quality of politicians in the last ten years has been frightening … Corbyn, Clegg, Cameron, bumble****, Reece ****ing mogg, gove, Osbourne and anyone of the pricks that are in the cabinet at the moment. Personally I didn’t believe it physically possible that you could get that many useless ******** into Westminster at the same . Clearly I was mistaken. It must be like the ****ing tardis FFS.

If you believe that the poor, the sick, the homeless, the elderly, the disabled, asylum seekers have a better life under an extreme right wing government led by a criminal liar than a radical socialist government led by a principled individual, a committed and respected constituency MP, who had never sought high office for what he could get out of it for himself, then we will just have to disagree.

I find that Starmer lacks the passion of Corbyn. Starmer has no clear vision and certainly no concrete policies on how he will improve the lot of the increasing number of disadvantaged in this country. Of course I will continue to vote Labour as I have all my life but that doesn't mean that I find the leader in any way appealing or attractive. I am a socialist. I don't think Starmer is.

But this thread is to put the boot into this disgusting, disgraceful Tory government, so back to the day job!

You will find out more about the policies when it gets nearer to a general election. At the moment, I long for a 'boring' Prime Minister instead of one that loves drama and chaos every day.

We didn't need to be skint because of covid.

£4bn in crap PPE set ablaze. That's at least 4 hospitals.

£5.5bn in furlough fraud

Round up to a cool £10bn wasted through incompetent government

They simply don’t do the most basic parts of their job, let alone the rest. It’s a sham. The arrogance and negligence is beyond belief. And to think Tiverton is still 50/50. WTF is wrong with people?

Absolutely typical Starmer type response.

Whataboutery, should have done this, what about that?

The way to proceed is to deal with what you've got, not moan about what is gone.

Add this type of approach to half Labour's fans being pro Corbyn and the other pro Starmer, it is no surprise of the division.

We can all complain about or predicament and say 'Should have done this, what about that', or we can simply try to move forward in difficult times.

I know what I'm going to try.
