Er, cos obviously Newcastle 1979 wouldn't get a look-in!

Southampton Away in 1981
Indeed! 2-0 win. Also really enjoyed our first game in Div 2 under Mullery when we drew 1-1 with John Ruggerio equalising for us.

(I've got a good record at Southampton, two wins and a draw!)

One of my all time favourite away games was the 2-0 Peter Ward inspired win at West Brom in the league cup when we were a 3rd division team with West Brom in the 1st.

Sunday's win, the best we've had for a few years away from home, would not make my top 10.

2-1 at Liverpool FAC 83.
3-1 at Newcastle 1979.
1-0 at Liverpool 81-82.
4-3 at Cambridge mid 80s.
7-1 at Chester 2000(?)
3-2? At Leeds early 80s (Graham Pearce)
6-1? At Fulham zDS mid-80s.
1-0 at Spurs 1981.
1-0 at West Ham (2005).
1-0 at @alace 2005.
3-0 at @alace 1982.
All better for me.

Yeah. There's obviously a reason why Sunday's wouldn't be in our Top Ten - it's because we're old fuckers who've been to loads of games over the decades. I think for younger fans it probably rates highly.

True, but the thread title says All Time Top 10, rather than "my".

Oh, I loved that game. Willie Johnston got sent off too. We also had cracking away matches at Ipswich and Derby in that cup run.

Strangely, some of my most memorable away games were defeats. The afore-mentioned Derby match, Notts Forest in the League Cup (in 78?), a cracking 4-3 defeat at Everton in the early 80s and a game at West Ham in, I think, 1990 where we lost 2-1 but it was a pulsating game with a terrific atmosphere.

Although i never saw the First 3 on the post, I agree 100% with the rest and the Leeds one was Great as it was a last minute jobbie and very very cold, with less than 100 away fans.
