Jet was a good track.

Anyway, my top five (this week) in no particular order are:

1. Cottonfields - The Beach Boys (Nominal choice from one of the highest quality bands ever. Brian Wilson really is a genius. It was either 'Cottonfields' or 'Friends' or 'Caroline, No')

2. Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler) - Marvin Gaye (Random track choice from one of the greatest - if not THE greatest - albums ever)

3. I'm On My Way - Dean Parrish Wigan Casino / Northern Soul classic)

4. Fire - Jimi Hendrix (Mainly cos I am having trouble tracking a copy of it down, and therefore haven't tired of it yet)

5. Baba O'Riley - The Who (Can you exaggerate perfection?)

Next week's top five will probably be totally different.

Got to agree with you on Baba O'Riley ... but there again the whole of Who's Next is awesome.

I may have a copy of Fire somewhere ... i'll need to go through my bootleg library first ... will let you know If I dig one out

Jam, are you a fan of Holland? Probably my favourite Beach Boys Album, but rarely mentioned or played.

Yeas I have it. I prefer Pet Sounds - hence the avatar.

My fav track is Tears In The Morning on Sunflower

I missed it, and I immediately regretted it. I will go and see the Beach Boys in November though. Can't miss it second time around.

JTM: So, you like the Beach Boys AND Michael Jackson? Isn't that a bit like support Brighton & Hove Albion AND Crystal Palace? How do you reconcile the two different styles? :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

The concert was incredible - Warmth Of The Sun was tear jerking.
I'm not sure there's a huge amount of difference in Michael Jackson's & The Beach Boys falsettos...!
