Bloom Rivers Two Pair
Posted 2 minutes ago by donpeters • Level 8: 6,000-12,000, 1,000 ante
From the button, Tony Bloom raised to 24,000. Sam Trickett three-bet from the big blind to 48,000, and Bloom made the call.
The flop produced the

, and Trickett check-called a bet of 30,000 from Bloom.
The turn was the

, and both players checked to see the

land on the river. Trickett checked, and Bloom bet 78,000. Trickett tank-called, but couldn't beat the

that Bloom held for a rivered two pair and mucked his hand.

Out - Mercier, Esfandari, and Hansen :ohmy: 3 pros that haven't got shabby bank balances!

Mercier is an awesome tournament player, Esfandiari is nothing special and Hansen has been on a slide for about two years after people worked out how he plays and adjusted. My money would be on Trickett to take this down, or maybe Seidel if I was hedging.

Neither Gruissem or Kurganov are too shabby either, and they've got chips so will be pressuring hard

I am right in thinking there's a 'romantic' coolness, to have our transfer day deadline reliant Tony playing this poker match?

Kurganov Busts Bloom Again
Posted 9 minutes ago by Happy_Freaked • Level 9: 8,000-16,000, 2,000 ante

And this time there's no coming back for Tony Bloom. Bloom just moved all in for 258,000 chips from the cutoff and Igor Kurganov made the call from the small blind.

Kurganov: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Bloom: {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

The board ran out {4-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Bloom was knocked out. Just nine players remain, one more elimination and the field will be combined at one table.

Can't win them all, unlucky Tony. I wonder how he feels knowing he just lost half a mil in one day, better increase ST prices :thumbsup:

All it really means is Tony has already spent next week's pocket money.
