Where's that put Palace in the table? Very quiet on here these days?

I think they are still stuck in 16th , the teams below them have to bridge a few points to send them down any further but there are still 5 games to go.

Indeed. The three games I've felt least confident about this season have been Saints, Leicester...... and Reading tomorrow.

Spot on....I'd still be VERY surprised if we made it into the playoffs, but if we get three points (or more) from our next two matches, we're still in there with a very decent chance.

What its showing is that everyone is having a tough time stringing results together, our defeat to Burnley is no different to results others are getting. I agree that getting to the play-offs is a long shot, I'd love to go to Barnsley though with a mathmatical chance even if we're relying on other results, it would be a great end to a great season.

What's happened to Palace?

I met a CP fan in January who boasted they were about the meet & win against LFC in the League Cup Final, with a second Wembley triumph in the Play Off final,

and was cocky that Garvan & Murray were about to play in the PL.

Every time we slip up so do our rivals.
Now it's time for us to take our chance.we have 2 tough matches to prove that we are as good as we think we are.No more talking the talk it time to walk the walk

Well I haven't checked but I'm sure they're breathing down the necks of the playoff teams, they had some winnable games I was told and I don't see any reason why I would even look into it having heard that. They are there or thereabouts, they must be.

Indeed. Cardiff and Boro also both away on the last day (Palace and Watford respectively). Would be a very sweet afternoon if we could win at Barnsley while Palace take the points of Cardiff that allow us to qualify for the playoffs...

If Cardiff, Blackpool, Middlesbrough & us had all won today/tomorrow, we'd have been feeling pretty good - now they've dropped points it means a point against Reading would be a long, long way from being a disaster. A win actually puts us back in the top 6 - suddenly the confidence comes flooding back!

What do we want to happen in the late game? I must admit I quite like the idea of a Birmingham win:

a - they are already fourth so I'm already pretty much ignoring our chances of overtaking them
b - it will remove the must-win element for Reading tomorrow if West Ham have lost
c - I don't want West Ham to rediscover their home form anytime before August!

Spot on.

Interesting one. Birmingham are only six points clear of us - an awful lot of ifs, but they lose tonight, we win tomorrow and beat Birmingham at home then we're back level with them. Huge ask but not beyond realm of possibility.

West Ham last 6 at home is L1 D5, against teams in poor form as well. Win tonight could turn it around for them. But then we're due a big performance away from home.

Too many ifs and buts really aren't there. Lets deal with our results and then see what happens. Would love draws against the 3 above us and wins against Watford and Barnsley. But the last two have just drawn away at teams above us.

Conclusion: Anything can happen so just enjoy the ride!

The problem is, 'as good as I think we are' isn't that great :) I was starting to believe a month ago, as it looked like we were improving and new players had come in, but we've gone backwards since then, so I fully expect us to fail.

And I got returned £137.50 from my Cardiff - Watford draw, Profit of £87.50. Sorry to mention it in this thread as well but so happy. Had a great day today with you all. I won't mention my win again :)

Glad you won and had a good day. So how come you've only just joined NSC? Or are you one of the ones opening a new account after being banned recently?
