Of course he didn't watch it. He's just enjoying being able to whinge at someone else for a tip that didn't win.

I'm happy enough with NSN's explanation about why it didn't do as well as expected, although it would have been nice to know it was after rain beforehand. At least his tip was based on speaking directly to someone who should be halfway in the know, rather than just finger in the wind. At the end of the day no one can guarantee a winner.

I did watch the race, was it the same one as you did, it was never mentioned in commentary until it wimpered in in 6th place more than 4.5 lengths behind and 1.5lengths off the place, your point is

My point is that you've exaggerated as per usual with your 10 lengths off, when that wasn't the case, it finished less than 4 lengths off. You may have had a good Ascot but your own record is far from convincing. Either way, whether it comes from stickinga pin in the paper, or direct from the jockey, a tip is just that, not a guarantee of making cash, no matter how you try to sell it.

I will check the Racing Post as I am damn sure it was over 4 length's behind. The horse was a dud thats the end of it.

I was watching on 'At the Races' and I definitely heard that it was 'staying on' at about the 2 furlong post. We can't expect every tip to pay off - especially at these odds - and I thought we had a decent run for our money in a 17 runner handicap.

dunno I'm lost
The tip was given in good faith, it didn't work out...I'm sorry. I'll not bother again.

Wasn't having a pop mate, sorry if it came over that way.

Tip's are tip's win or lose, just be good to know all the relevant info before sticking money down.

Make the next one a winner.

33/1 tip that finishes in the top 1/3rd of an 18 runner handicap and people still have a pop, ridiculous.
Cheers for the tip and keep them coming. people have an informed choice to make before placing the bet so don't moan.

Hang on a minute, it doesn't matter if it is 6th or 18th the end result is money down toilet. You may be pleased and consider 6th a good result, maybe you know a bookie who pays 1st 6 but lets not pretend it was a good tip please.

I never said it was a good tip but for a 33/1 shot it run a decent race. I don't think nobody expects a 33/1 to romp home it very rarely happens a tip has to be taken on its merits, and for me this was a fair tip it ran a decent race but didn't get the place i've tipped something in the 4:50 at perth at long odds I do not expect it to win but if it does it's a bonus!
