Savage is fcuking useless..lets not kid ourselves!

He looks big, strong and quite awkward to mark. That alone will unsettle some defences. However, I'm yet to be convinced that he's this standard, but it's VERY early to make a judgement yet.

Sometimes people do make rash predictions, which don't turn out to be all that accurate. Step forward and take a bow, supaseagull.

Oh Sh*t

nothing like supporting a new player is there

Oh behave yourself...So what do we do..when a manager is losing every game we give him until the end of the season until we get relegated and when a new signing has been rubbish his whole career we praise him every game even though he's rubbish!

has he been that crap in the game and half that he has played that you can write him of as being crap and not fit to wear boots, no he hasn't. Personally i value the judgment of Messers Wilkins and White far more than any one on here i will take there opinion over anything that you say. Think its a shame you cant support the club and players with the same force as you seem to knock every move they make

I dont rate him..neither does anyone else thats had him..its a move for us that screams desperation. Value all you want...he's still crap!

I wasnt knocking them when they made right choices...I was praising them every week...But im not one of these fans that when we are struggling and playing badly and signing poor players..that will just sit back and back everything the club does on or off the pitch..im no zombie I have an opinion and I dont give a flying fcuk who agree's with it...

I love this club but today i will be paying over £50 to go watch us...just like everyone else, meaning if we do well I will sing praise...if we play rubbish I will vent my dissapointment..I have the right..and so do you

Wasn't he recommended by Steve Coppell and didn't Gillingham offer him terms that he declined? That would suggest people do rate him, byf.

The time has no come for the McGhee out brigade to put their hands up and admit they made and contributed to one of the biggest, worst and incredible cock ups and mistakes in the history of this football club. I do not have pleasure in saying " told you so " as the future of the club is too important for petting point scoring.

Surely NO ONE can still say we are better off with Wilkins in charge than if we kept loyal to McGhee when I believe we would have got top the play offs.

We have shot ourselves in the foot and commited football suicide. Have we not leanred that appointing managers from within and the youth set up DOES NOT WORK.

We had the perfect set up with McGhee and his wealth of Div 1 experience and superb track record of promotions from this league and Wilkins learning the tools of the trade from him. It was simply too soon for Wilkins to take on the role, he does not have the experience, contacts , football nous and most importantly respect of the players to deliver the goods. He delivered the most damning indictment of his postion today by saying we worked on it all week and the players did not listen / do the things I asked them to. Well why not ?, your the manager, you pick the players, you do the team talk, you make the subs. He is obviously a soft touch and the players do not play for him, that much is obvious now.

Whats to be done, Knight was the man who decided to sack McGhee for no good reason and appoint Wilkins probably instigated from the boardroom . Well either give serious funds to buy 1/2 players who will keep the team up if you have the confidence in Wilkins to spend the money wisely, like we should have done last season or 2, sack Wilkins now and give the new man enough time to keep the team up.

Sitting on his hands and doing nothing and spending nothing is simply not an option this time around. Division 4 football which is where we are surely headed would be a disaster to the Falmer bid and another reason for a party for LDC, 2 relegations in a row beyond their wildest dreams.

The time for ACTION IS NOW AND THIS WEEK.

The only thing you can do in these debates is let the facts speak for themselves.
When McGhee was sacked we were 16th in the division.
After the loss at Brentford we are 17th in the division.
So for a young manager still learning the ropes, Wilkins is only one place worse off than McGhee was when he was sacked.
Considering the age of the squad and the resources Wilkins has compared to McGhee I think he doing very well.

Can't really argue with that except that Wilkins hasn't had to sell off his best players yet and as far as I'm aware not had a 150k useless Argentinian forward foisted on him by his chairman :)

Agreed, but also Wilkins hasn't had 250k to spend on two frenchmen who never really gave that much to the club in terms of winning us points to stay up!

A voice of reason, the laughable part of the whole Crystal ball debate is that McGhee in his last 18 months showed no indication whatsover that we were about to turn the corner, that he could attract any better signings to the club and that he was going to cut all the bullshit and excuses that in the end did him in.

The likes of Naylor is only bitter that in a round about way it was him who cost him his job after the shit stirring about the Blooms when it transpires that they had been one of the main reason the club was being kept afloat financially.

Just look at the amount of clubs that have turned him down, even his old team mate (probably the wrong word) Big Eck wouldnt give him a part time coaching role in the Scotland set up. :lolol:
