Well the tempest was dramatic. Must’ve been lightning strikes close by to us about 6:30 ish.

Kicked off 5:45 in BN43 . . . A few very close loud ones, so I got up at 6 and went for a run, well, stagger. f***ing hammered down for a while. A few inches in various receptacles in the garden, maybe even enough to fill the cracks on the allotment

Here in the one wetter TN6 it hissed down for around 45' from around 0700 but has now settled down to a rather pathetic drizzle.

Well ... beautiful summer weather for a few weeks. Then today was supposed to be my sons sports day at school. Needless to say, it's been cancelled. Absolutely hammered down here in Uckfield around 7am.

I believe that there was a lake there many years ago - nature taking it back to how it was.
