Why are us Brighton fans concerned at the state of the champions League ? Not as if we are gonna be anywhere near it in our life time is it ? We should watching the lower leagues as thats where we're likely to be heading.

Because as CG highlighted it is destroying European football for all those clubs and fans who have not joined the party.

All the money in the English game is focussed on one league, with an acute concentration on four or so clubs, that means, its damn hard for any other club to join and stay in, making it harder for progress out of C1 league, that league is becoming increasing average, as majority of sides do enough to stay in it and no more.

But that average is becoming increasing on a higher plane that L1, meaning its harder and harder for Brighton etc to progress.

Basically the last 10 years have seen a major f*** up and in parallel a noticable decline in international football and .
