Difficult to say, I might do if I had plenty more in the bank and just wanted rid of the whole thing. Maybe he was wrong to do it and, in doing so, left himself open to another claim from a moneygrabber. One false accusation spiralled out of control, it could have been dealt with better though.

He basically died from self induced stress I would imagine. The stress of the court case and charges, the stress of his life going down the toilet, the stress of trying to re build his life and the planned concerts he must have known he was not up to.

Excellent post. I'm appaulled by some of the people on here, it's disgusting.

With the amount of investigative journalism that went on, the depth of the enquiries- and yet nothing was found, just a couple of cheap programmes that highlighted his happiness at letting kids enjoy his neverland themepark.

I'm not making him out to be a saint, I'm not even saying you have to like him, but some of the stuff being posted on here is actually quite offensive and saddening. Just hope the mods take action.

There is no doubt in my mind that he was a brilliant musician, one of the greatest entertainers that the World has ever known, but what he will be remembered for is some of the more bizarre and disturbing aspects of his private life. It is sad when someone dies at a relatively young age, that he may have been in considerable pain before losing consciousness, however this should be tempered by the fact that for those children who he may or may not have abused the pain will go on to affect the rest of their lives.

According to sources he'd taken Demerol - so he would have been in any pain at all.

Aha, I know and helped someone deal with sexual abuse from a young age, and the anger they have once their confidence is built back up again is hard to stop, even with millions of dollars. Do you really think if he raped even 4/5 kids as he was supposed to he wouldn't be found out? Do you really think that the papers weren't wishing for that story? You can't believe that the kids parents might just fancy taking a bit of his personal fortune?
