So Sky, The Daily Mail and a multitude of online sites are reporting Chelsea, Villa, Newcastle, Everton, Forest and Leicester will all need to sell in order to meet Profit & Sustainability Rules.

This could be an interesting time, especially with the Euros going on throughout that period.

Do we think the Albion will be in for a bargain? Does Hurzeler fancy Dewsbury-Hall in his line-up? Or is the significance of 30th June date just hot air?

Likely that Forest and Leicester would be the only clubs with players on wages we could increase. If the players the others want to shift are not wanted by Saudi League or a top 6 side, they will have a job getting the players to go.

I’m not convinced about that.

If we are signing younger players from the likes of Newcastle or Chelsea (where they get maximum ‘home grown’ value) I’m sure we could afford to pay them a slight increase and give them a better chance of Premier League minutes.

A top thread @Pavilionaire. This is what I come to NSC for each day.

We're in a game of football poker with Uncle Tony calculating how desperate these clubs will become, and waiting for an opportunity to call their hand.
As demonstrated by his late January bid for Dewsbury-Hall, he knows better than each clubs fanbase which are the most vulnerable to selling players.

Our recent transfer business has created a lot of opportunities that many far richer clubs will struggle to take advantage of.

They won't need to do shit other than sell their ground or training ground to a 'sister company'. PSR is worthless.

Yep, Douglas Luiz is a big player for Villa. Not ideal having to sell real quality when you are just about to embark on a Champions League campaign.

Good player but now that the likes of them, Aston Villa, Everton and Chelsea have got together to thwart PSR rules, we won’t have a chance of buying their young talent.

The Dullard has has explained the process in other threads involving the transfers of £2m rated youth players between clubs where they value these players at £20m+ thus solving all their overspending issues.

My guess at the ‘math’ on this.

£40m for Newcastle straight on the balance sheet for 23/24. Then £10m (£50m/5 year contract) in the spending column. A net £30m gained for handing Everton £10m.

Obviously Everton get £50m on the balance sheet for 23/24. With £8m (£40m/5 year contract) taken off so a net £42m to solve their PSR woes.

Sadly, this loophole will probably rule out our signing of KDH if Leicester can find some other EPL team to ‘play the game with’. They have 7 days left to find a sham deal.

Leicester will keep Dewsbury-Hall if they take part in this scam. There is no value to them in selling him if they can find another homegrown player worth £1m or so, sell him to Chelsea for £40m+ whilst taking one of their youth players that no one has heard of for a similar fee.

Forget KDH! He wouldn't come/Leicester wouldn't sell in January. His wages will be well above ours anyway, and as is the way with PL footballers and their agents, the idea of a pay cut is completely unthinkable.
