TBH Little Al has done a good job there,found it funny....Did leave out one important date of 14/01/55 but good effort.

Is there some in-joke I'm missing here, because I've seen that date twice now.

If it's about a 5-0 win to Brighton, the date is 14/1/56

I think you need a history lesson. Brighton and Palace were both promoted in trhe 1978/79 season.
