Inter had a goal disallowed and world war three broke out. Flares, bottles, fireworks thrown. Dida was hit on the head by a flare. They were off the pitch for a while, while the fans rioted came back out and it started again. Match abandoned now.

Was pretty bad.

AC Milan's semi-final against Inter Milan had to be abandoned amid scenes of ugly crowd trouble by Inter's fans.
The game was halted after Inter supporters threw flares and bottles in the Milan area after Esteban Cambiasso had a header ruled out late on.

Inter were already heading out of the competition after Andriy Shevchenko's stunning first-half strike gave Milan an unassailable 3-0 aggregate lead.

Inter are likely to face severe sanctions after a flare hit Dida.

The Brazilian was lucky to be hit on the shoulder by the firework, which missed his head by a matter of inches.

The flares and projectiles continued to rain down onto the pitch as referee Markus waved both sets of players to the halfway line.

Merk then instructed the players to leave the pitch.

Have seen footage and it is indeed a sad day for football. Even when hit by a flare from the crowd a football player is so used to exagerating his injury that he does a pathetic 360 degree rolypoly when hit on his shoulder. A rocket up the arse is what these lightweights need deserve and probably crave.

I am Inter fan.

The ref was a crock of shit, Shevchenko should have been sent off in the first 5 and there was nothing wrong with that goal. The team were bollocks, and unfortunately all of that has set them off. I cant believe the Italian authorities let the fans bring all that stuff into games. It was pretty bad, there's no excuse. Should have rioted after the game. They'll get 2 games at least.

Just read the whole thing was designed to kick off if Inter were losing, as a protest againt Massimo Moratti, the rich but thick owner. The aim was to get the game abandoned and get the club a massive fine. They hope that along with the result may encourage him to sell te club.

Dont think Milan are any kind of moral authority though. Their fans booed during a one minutes silence for soldiers that died in Iraq and Berlusconi, one of the biggest crooks in Europe runs them.

And where's InterJambo this morning ? One team already in disgrace in Scotland, and now this - is he the link ?

Actually, as a fan of 6th placed Palermo, I just hope Inter are banned. Serie C to Champions League in 3 years would be quite an achievement.
