Just got the 2 cd, 37 track purchase which confirmed to me they were the greatest rock band of all time with a catelogue of brilliant singles and albums with one of the greatest most carismatic lead singers and produced in their time some of the greatest rock guitarists ever seen on this planet and for good measure the greatest ever live album. Saw them 3 times live at the Brighton Centre lucky me.

Take a bow - THIN LIZZY

Phil Lynott- RIP
Graeme Robertson
Gary Moore
Scott Gorham
Snowy White

Live & Dangerous.

Who can beat them in the rock world ?. Noone thats who.

The who weren't really ROCK in the true sense.

Rock bands were the likes of the Stones, Iron maiden, Status Quo etc.

Thin Lizzy were certainly up there, Lynard Skynard also, Motorhead, Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Black sabbath

For Rock and Roll, you have to go back to the days of Bill haley and the GOD that is Chuck Berry

One of the best "rock" tracks IMHO is "Stay with Me" Rod Stewart and the Faces...

My two all time favourite Rock Track is paranoid by Black Sabbath and Mystery Song by Quo. ( closely followed by Freebird by Skynard)

No credit for Eric Bell or John Sykes? And of course its Brian Roberston.

Their greatest moment was 'Live & Dangerous' which is one of the greatest live albums of all time.

And naturally i'd like to mention that Maiden carried on their legacy of twin harmony guitars :clap2:

Although the Who were only the best until Keith Moon's demise and became parodies of themselves after that.

The Stones have to be the most durable imo
