I like a lot of Rock music AC/DC and Iron Maiden are 2 of my favourite bands. It is it's own brand of trashy teenage wannabe music and shite to many. I suppose the difference with the music I like and some gangster rap is that at least the bands I like put on an unbelieveble live show and display some real talent with a sense of style but it is, as much as some rap, immature bollocks! What I like is that the bands I like say what it is, loud, shallow, well perormed ROCK! The problem I have with the Figgy Doggs of this world is they pretend their brand of teenage wank is some deep shit. It's not.

If you read my post that you responded to you will see that I agree that things like AC/DC are childish nonsense and I can easily see why people laugh at them. I just happen to like it.
Having said that, singers like Bruce Dickinson, Eddie Vedder, Chris Cornell have amazing voices and I'm sorry but more talent than most rappers.
I agree rapping can be done very well. You definately need an attitude to do it. I have seen some awful rappers, awful because they could not deliver with any force.
My only beef with most gangster rap is that it tries to convince the audience it is some deep and profound ecperience and I can't buy that when they talk about money and girls. That's all.
