Wouldn't happen if it was a Asian man. Makes me laugh our justice system. Asian man rapes a 12 year old schoolgirl in Oldham and gets 3 years. Don't see the outcry in the tree hugging liberal left Guardian paper in outrage calling the sentence a complete utter disgrace, but there you go.

I predicted the race card is where you'd end up yesterday. You are defending a paedophile. He was caught with child porn.

I suggest you go and look at my posts and you'll know that you are talking utter tosh Pete.
Are you going to reply, or just pretend nothing happened?

With the emerging story of Leon Brittan and the missing dossier, a picture of a Britain that was rotten to the core beyond imagination when it came to child abuse in the 70's and 80's just gets worse. Cameron is resisting calls for a full scale inquiry. Why? Anything less will be seen as a fudge brushed under the carpet. Leon Brittan needs to be hauled up and asked what he remembers? I can't believe for one minute he never read the contents before "passing it over" to his senior civil service flunkies. His explanations so far have been far from convincing.

Speak of the devil.

Former Tory minister David Mellor, who served under Lord Brittan as a home office minister in the 1980s, said there had been a "witch hunt" surrounding the handling of the dossier and that the former home secretary was being unfairly "pilloried".

He said the material was spoken of within the department at the time, but it was "not a very substantive thing at all".

I'm sure this will be swept under the Westminster carpet, and nothing will be done.
'We're very sorry we 'lost' your dossier, but fortunately we looked at it before we 'lost' it, so even if you come back with another one, we will have watertight alibis and high powered legal teams at the ready to protect those implicated.
Good - that's that cleared up - shall we adjourn for a spot of lunch?'

The red tops are full of stories by well known people claiming to have been molested by him, why havent thry come forward earlier?

Because previously there was a sense that they had all the power to sweep it under the carpet, all the press, police, and courts in their pocket, and that no one would take them seriously, and now there appears to be a concerted effort to get justice for historical offences by similarly powerful and seemingly protected individuals they feel they will be listened to and believed and there is a chance for justice that wasn't there before?

Anyone got the quotes where saVile said no one would touch him, 'cos he'd take them all down with him?

We need justice on this.

How very coincidental that on Carole Kasir's list of regular visitors to Elm guest house was a certain Mr Leon Brittan. I see the Christian pop star who liked to be bummed by black men was a regular too!!

In all honesty - it's too late for justice. Doesn't mean this doesn't need to be investigated thoroughly and independently though.
How so? Harris going to prison is some justice.
