Ward

Lawrenson

Frank Worthington (really surprised he's only got 1 mention so far). Whilst he was with us towards the end of his career, I'd still have paid money just to watch him in the warm up. Definitely the most technically gifted Albion player I've ever seen.

The best 3 I have ever seen

1)Mark Lawerson

A knob know but a total and utter class player.I was only 8 when I first saw him play but he has stuck in the mind of being the best player I have ever seen in an Albion shirt

2)Bobby Zamora
Total class and without him would never of won 2 championships

3)Garry Nelson
In that 87-88 season I have never seen an Albion player look such an world beater. His goal in the cup at Brentford is still the best goal I have seen score d by an Albion player

Although Currie would come a close 4th, i suspect.

A thread that will show your age! :)

I agree, Darren Currie is very close, he had the most natural ability i have seen in a player who has never played in the Premiership. But he was 29/30 when he joined those three were all young and everyone could see they had an exciting future.

Ward - always going to be up there for people that saw him play - imagine the money he would be on today!

Ryan (goal against Man City, plus you never knew which Gerry Ryan you were getting sometimes - the one who thought he was Pele, or the one who couldn't spell Pele!)

Horton - true Captain, excellent worker.

And Smith Did Score!
Sorry.. but for different reasons I can't seperate these:

Peter Ward
Brian Horton
Bobby Zamora
Tony Towner
Eric Steele/Graham Moseley .. really 2 halves of one quality keeper
