Any of the weather experts on here signed up to the premium version? If so can you ascertain how much of the huge blob (technical term) is snow and how much is rain?

That stuff in the North sea looks quite tasty and is heading almost due South. Potential for a dumping north of the downs in Sussex perhaps?

there is a feeling (as yet un-proven) that the forecast is going very much awry and there is a lot more precipitation further East.

Anyone in the Crawley area online? the radar above has something falling in mid sussex, but I know from the weather forums, many people have been reporting nothing earlier today, when the radar was showing it was doing something.

Why is there a completely straight line dividing snow and rain almost exactly over Bristol?

Is it possible to get ghost precipitation echoes on these radar images because some of the returns look strangely linnear, and the entire mass appears to be speeding up? (Clearly an increase in speed is not impossible but surely a linnear return is.)

I think there's been a lot of ghost returns today. There would be reports of snow falling over Central and East Sussex if the radar was correct.
