This is the same as last season. BBC are just showing what are effectively the "definite" spots, because there is no guarantee of:

- A fifth CL spot thanks to good performance of the English teams
- 6th place getting the Europa spot, because it could go to the FA Cup winner
- 7th place getting a Conference spot because it could go to the League Cup winner

On the Bloom/dullard recent episode of Albion Unlimited, JC made a really good point about the seven teams playing in Europe. Bloom wants as many of them to stay in their competitions as possible not just to boost the coefficient, but also because they've got more games to play in Europe, thereby compromising their league performances.
