Cracking day out!! Legendary!

It was a lovely cushion Trigger. And soon, there will be a chance for others to judge its "salmonish" - or pinkish - qualities!
:D :D :D

What a day. Truly the best day of my sporting life - it even beats the cup final in '83.

Managed to get Murray to sign my scorecard - that's getting framed.

The reason we declared is that Murray was knackered: he waved that he wanted to come off, so Grizzly called them in.

It'll be over before tea tomorrow - hope I can get there in time for the last wicket.

A very memorable day all round - mega congratulations to Sussex County Cricket Club.

The club has risen from the ashes come on BHAFC time to emulate this.

agree with you Gwylan, can't find enough superlatives to describe the day.

Adams' 100 almost went unnoticed! Apparently Adams was going to declare when Ambrose got his ton and Goodwin broke the record. Sadly Ambrose fell just short of his 1st 100 of the season, but Goodwin just kept going - fantastic.

What a day! The last few weeks have certainly rekindled my interest in cricket. I hope Attila's buying all Sussex a drink tonight now that his 33-1 bet has come in.

.. To the bitter end - managed to get myself on tv when Murry and Moores were interviwed.

Got Adams and Murry to autograph my ticket - superb.

One of the best sporting days of my life.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
I was past the stairs in the next aisle along with my old man.
I didn't twig who you guys were till the end and I recognised a few faces.
I will come over and say hello tomorrow.
Incidently I loved a comment that came from your ranks when that old moaning git came in about 12 whinging as loud as he could 'I bet there wont be anyone here tomorrow' etc etc etc.
We had to put up with the old git all day.
Why couldnt he just be happy like everone else ????

Here's some of today's pics...

Just this minute back from the Cricketers pub, where Chappers and I were getting roudy with the Sussex Massive! Neil Lenham and Jamie Hall were in attendance and much alcohol has passed through my lips tonite! :clap2: :drink:

I still can't get my head around what we saw today!

The championship is a magnificent achievement - thoroughly deserved for a season of consistently committed playing by the whole squad.

But by the time play started this morning, we were expecting it.

But no-one ever dreamt that we were going to see a performance like Murray Goodwin dished up. The highest score ever by a Sussex batsman - beating Duleepsinhji's record that was set 73 years ago. Awesome perfection and great entertainment, at one hell of a pace. The only mistake I noticed was when he was dropped at 304 - and, somehow, that just added to the euphoria we all felt.

A once in a lifetime experience to be there today.

 :drink:  :drink:

I hope my dad managed to return from the afterlife for this day-he loved Sussex CCC and would be so proud today. I had a cheer for him just in case he was busy:D
