to be honest though i dont think we need loan signigs i dont see the point in having a player for three months and then get another for three months etc. we need to get behind the team peoples expectations are too big, the honeymoons over and now its reality, we're in a tough league with a team whose just come up from league one, we're fifth in the league cant ask for anymore
You are right - if it could be guaranteed that we continue the season with our current average number of points per game. But what if we continue with the average points per game we've achieved from the last four matches? Relegation!
In my view, it is right that the players who get you promoted should have the chance to prove themsleves in the higher division, but it is inevitable that some will not be up to it. Added to rhat, we lost two players - Murray and Bennett - who were up to it. Did we bring in others to fully replace them?
CMS was a great buy but a totally different style of player to Murray so you can't say he is a direct replacement. It is such a shame they are not playing together because they would have complemented each other perfectly! So far, I can't see that anyone has adequately replaced Bennett.
I don't agree that we don't need loan players. If the cost of their wages can be justified and afforded (and only the Board would know that) then anyone who improves the team must surely be right. If some players are looking a bit outclassed in this division how long do you wait to see if they can improve? Some might, but others will have a limit to their abilities and simply won't be able to. There is a limit to loyalty and sentimentality!
If Gus thinks we need better quality players, either on loan, or bought in the January transfer window, then we do!
