I once explained bread and butter and jam to my Italian landlady.

She cut a slice of bread, then spread it with jam, then cut a knob of butter and plonked it on the top.

Delicious.

A decent chedder cheese and mango chutney......toast the bread on one side (not to much) then butter the toasted sides, then spread a good amount of mango chutney(only on one slice) top it off with cheese, put together then lightly toast the remaning 2 sides.......awesome!!!!

Very strong cheddar with thick cut orange marmalade, and as a second choice, again very strong cheddar with marmite and loads of watercress.

labne (type of turkish sour cream cheese) marmite and smoked turkey

but my favıourite used to be bacon gri,lled with french mustard and brown sugar and grilled banana

Was discussing this at work earlier in the week, one of my colleagues favourites is mature cheese and sharwoods vindaloo paste!

Another of my favourites is mature cheddar, lettuce and Heinz salad cream.

Try that with peanut butter. It's amazing.
