This is really good, you should send it out to the other clubs boards, they may get into the spirit of it.

We lose our first game of the season, but stay top.

SCC slip down a place.

Hope Bournemouth take automatic promotion with us. Hope SCC lose in the 94th minute of the play off final to Yeovil.

We'll have to wait at least until the next game (Exeter v Bournemouth, Tuesday 8 March 2011) to find out whether Exeter City will ever get a point. The 90th minute winner by Southampton last night confirms the Grecians 0% record so far. And if Exeter lose again, it's not looking good for the Albion's prospects of winning this league.

Incidentally ... why "Grecians"?

Latest table:-

Code:
                  P W D L F A GD Pts

Bournemouth 6 4 1 1 10 4 6 13
Brighton & H A 6 3 2 1 8 3 5 11
Southampton 5 3 1 1 8 2 6 10
Plymouth A 5 2 0 3 4 7 -3 6
Exeter City 6 0 0 6 2 16 -14 0

EDIT ... Whoops. I forgot that we are playing Plymouth on 22 February. A chance to get back to the top of the table.

The club is nicknamed The Grecians. This name has a disputed history, with many theories being proposed for its origin. No-one is sure of the definitive answer to why but one source suggests that the club voted for the name in 1908 because of its association with St Sidwells parish.[9] People living in the parish of St Sidwells in Exeter have been known as "Greeks" or "Grecians" for many centuries.

Based on the real league I was hoping for a Bournemouth win on Saturday but having seen this maybe a draw would be a better option!

We're still top!

So, if we beat SSC on 23rd April, not only could we clinch promotion, not only could we secure the championship, we could also, and probably more importantly, win LB's south coast mini league. Is there a trophy?
