Yes, but Ravel Morrison is 27 now. 6 years ago, aged 21, he was signed to Premier League West Ham and had played regularly for them and on loan at Championship Birmingham and QPR. It was around this point that the decline set in.

Morrison played 18 games for wet sham in 3 years and was then shipped out on loan. He played no games for Man U, and Neville can gob off as much as he likes; until the boy is in the first team he is not the most extraordinary talent that ever graced this good earth. That is the sort of judgement that has given Neville that top managerial career that we all hold in awe and wonder....

Morrison has played 59 games in 6 years. An average of 10 a season. 18 of those were foe Atlas (who?). His charge sheet includes beating up women and homophobia.

Solanke, 88 games in 5 seasons. Roughly 18 a season. 21 of those were for Liverpool (who?). His charge sheet appears to be blank.

Chalk and limestone?

There is a reason why he left Chelsea and Liverpool, bad attitude and ridiculous wage demands, for achieving sod all.

Like I said, let's see where he is in a couple of years. I hope you bounce this thread and I'm made to look like a t1t.

Interesting thing about Solanke is that he seems to have scored goals for fun in the various England youth levels he has played at but has not replicated that form so much at club level.

:lolol:

You're right about Solanke's ludicrous £50K a week wage demands while at Chelsea. That said, it could have been agent driven. Who knows? Everything is a ruddy mystery, at the beginning of the day

These aren't the players you're looking for.

That's not true, his attitude has not been questioned.

He left Chelsea because when his opportunity to get some game time came along, Conte bought Michy Batshuayi. At the same time Liverpool became a viable option, so he left.

At Liverpool it was blatantly apparent that he was well behind Mane, Firmino and Salah. So he left to join Bornemouth. Money was never an issue.

For me, this is exactly what the fourth striker birth is for. Either a young wonder kid thrown into the mix or someone who has quality but lost his way and needs rediscovering. Get him in on a year’s loan with a right to buy. Motivate with larger than average goal bonus. let Dr potter do his stuff, New main striker to be purchased so we could, and maybe should, take a flyer with Salonke.

At Liverpool he wasn’t just behind Firmino, Salah, mane but also Origi and Ings (whatever happened to him!), he was allowed to leave as Brewster was seen as having more potential as well as some kid that was Gerrard’s cousin - who Left to go to Italy as he wasn’t getting first team games (deluded or what). I think there is a lot of potential in Solanke, he gets stuck in, is strong and appears to try, I think he’d be a great foyle to our wee strikers. With a bit of luck goals would come.

What would be the ideal scenario is this.

1. B’Muff about to sign Solanke for £14m but ‘bid up’ to £19m as a ‘team like Brighton’ join the bidding.

2. Solanke signs for the Muff and struggles in his first Premier League season but finds form after the lockdown. B’Muff go down.

3. Desperate B’Muff let ‘a team Brighton’ loan-2-buy Solanke for £14m if he performs.

4. Solanke scores 15+ goals (heavily assisted by his mentor and personal coach Lallana) for ‘a team like Brighton’ in 20/21 and signs permanently whilst B’Muff go League One.

5. Eddie cries himself to sleep most nights.

Solanke could be another Calvert Lewin. Thought he looked like he would never make the grade but now he seems to have a knack of finding the net despite a tendency to cheat. That said, I wouldn't chance it.

playing in a team full of confidence and creating him chances I'm sure he will put them away if Ashworth and potter think he will fit our style of play then it's a yes he wont cost a fortune as they have just gone down , after his first goal against Leicester he looked like a new player the runs he was making, a little like Connelly needs confidence and a good run in team creating him chances

I wouldn't be against a loan with an option I guess.

No thanks. He's a passenger and we don't have the luxury of carrying a striker.
