Always one of the great sporting and cultural events of the year, as well as raising a huge amount of money for charity. Soccer Aid is back for 2022 bigger than ever, lets hope England can end 3 years of hurt to the RoW lineup and bring home glory again.

This year the game is at the iconic London Stadium where the atmosphere us sure to be absolutely electric, and England have already announced an exceptionally strong squad featuring the likes of Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Joe Cole, Chunkz, Olly Murs, Ben Shepherd, Tom Grennan, all time top goalscorer Jonathan Wilkes, Captain Fantastic Liam Payne and Michael McIntyre.

Rest of the World look formidable as ever, drawing from the likes of Usain Bolt, Martin Compston, Lee Mack, Robbie Keane, Patrice Evra, Mo Gilligan, Brian Roy, Missy Elliot and Marc Hottiger.

Tickets are selling like hot cakes but for those of us who will not be able to get tickets the game as ever will be live on primetime ITV hosted by Alec Scott, Dermot O'Leary and Maya Jama.

Only days to go now until the most eagerly anticipated football match of the summer.

Looking forward to seeing Missy Elliot.

Be intriguing to see where she plays, don't think she's the most mobile so possibly sweeper if the ROW go 3 at the back.

It does show how times have changed, when I took my ref's exam in 1990 at Sussex County FA, when we finished the instructors said the biggest no-no in the eyes of the FA, nationwide, was refs officiating in mixed gender charity games, it was bordering on blasphemy.

Is that H from Steps in the England Squad? I though he was Welsh?

Mike Dean the referee on Sunday night, let's hope he gets the big decisions right and I'm sure he will get a cracking send off from the sold out audience.

Tonight's the night.

Let's hope England can end 4 years of hurt at the hands of the RoW. Going to be a tough ask, great to see Mark Wright declare himself fit for England, would have been a big blow missing him.

Just had a cheeky tenner on 3-1 RoW, Bolt FGS.

Disappointing to not see popular entertainer Jonathan Wilkes grace the field for this fixture.
