Quantum of Solace put me off this one, but everything I've heard about it has got me back on board - namely that it's one of if not THE best Bond films ever

Well it can't be any worse than QoS that's for sure. Give it a go!

I refer you both back to post #6.

We all know QoS is sh*te but I bet it's not as bad as you remember it to be.

I've just watched Casino Royale and QoS through again on consecutive evenings, and enjoyed QoS a lot more second time. Possibly with years apart between the films originally, watching them back to back gives you a far greater sense to how they're connected and how the strands run through. Perhaps these strands were too subtle really in QoS to make it a really successful stand alone film, but I definitely enjoyed QoS a lot more second time.

Got a morning showing booked for Friday. I saw Casino Royale twice in cinema mainly because during the 1st time some f***ing moron of a mother and father had bought a young boy who was understanably bored and noisy, even turning round to them and telling them to shut the f*** up didn't have any effect. Just one reason why I can't stand other people's bloody kids in adult evironments and the main reason I've got a Friday morning showing so less likely to be a bunch of cocks in there.

It's an inset day across Sussex on Friday Nibble, the kids will be everywhere.

I quite liked Quantum of Solace. I guess I'm on my own. I thought Casino Royale was a masterpiece though - and I don't use the word lightly.

Everyone (rightly) raves about Craig's performance in Casino Royale, but how bloody good is Mads Mikkelsen as Le Chiffre?!

Oh f***ing bollocks, really? I will change my ticket. I'm not risking it. Shit. What rating is it? I want a day when I'm not gonna get chavvy teenagers, parents who think small children will enjoy Bond, old fuckers snoring, rustling and generally bumblefucking abround, women chattering because they are bored you know what, I'll hire screen 0ne in the Odeon and watch it on my own. It's the only way to be sure. And it's pissing half term the week after isn't it?

I'll actually be back listening to Kermode after seeing the film.
I may well contribute, probably mentioning my QoS comments.

I might be a moron Nibble but I wouldn't do that to you. Haha triple bluff.

I'll wait for the video to come out, I'll reserve it at the shop, see if they'll give me a free poster as well.

Being pretty slow on the up take, I've just noticed Skyfall is released next Friday which is my day off.

I'm now all booked up for the 10:45am showing.

I'll even get to watch it before Kermode's review, assuming he doesn't do it this week.

He didn't, but judging by their brief comments him and Mayo liked it a lot.

Now that's proper maths.

Esp as it backs me up by having Brosnan in second and Connery out dated.
Look at the Martini count, he's virtually sober.

Just listened to the podcast.

Double yay me, I very pleased to be going with minimal input from the critics.

Fingers crossed it'll be so good it will just immerse me.
