Why because he tells it how it is? Far too many people in this world are two faced. People don't like to be told the truth, if you have talent, Simon will let you know, if you are not gonna win, he'll tell you too. He doesn't always get it right, but more often then not he does.

On the plus side, Sunday night was such a ridiculous farce that it actually provided me with teh awakening I've needed for far too long. I now realise what a crock of shit that programme is, and I now feel free, and released. My Saturday nights will not go near the programme again and I can get back to watching a bit more La Liga.

Always speaks the truth, can sometimes deliver it in a harsh manner. His decisions pretty much always turn out to be right in the end.
They make him tons more cash and he gets tons more publicity?
