I think that James Beattie fits the bill well, he is experienced at a higher level not an oldie who is past it and would command realistic wages. Gus did say at the end of season he will signa proven penalty taker, although this may have been a little tongue in cheek.

Very impressive against us for Carlisle - think he could definitely do a job. What is it about wingwrs and broken legs though?

Ben Marshall? (If he's recovered from his broken leg) - Useful winger, on loan at Carlisle last season.
