I'm for raising the age to about 26. Not that i lost my cherry then, i'll have you know, but i'd like a country full of angst-ridden winklefiddlers and flangeflutterers all desperate for that allowable moment to send the troops in or open national borders. It would be a land that takes wanking more seriously and would offer youngsters the chance to express themselves wankily in public places or youth clubs or dark-windowed, unlit buses in which the jiggling of the seats could permittably set people off on one.
I probably just want free porn on tv, now i think about it, and not to feel embarassed when i go semi on public transport.

Rubbish - it's not fashion, it's simple laziness. 2 spaces after a full stop is still the correct punctuation and is still taught in school.

Well it shouldn't be. It is no longer standard practice, and always was a pointless practice. If you want to refer to a proper style guide (ie rather than just what has become standard practice), Hart's Rules for Compositors (the standard text) now quite clearly has a single space after a full stop, and has done for quite some time.
