There is nothing wrong with assumptions and sheer refusal to face facts.

But it is not a level playing field. You have second-rate Premiership players who know they would not get in the England side on the whole, with one or two exceptions and we play in our own league in our own country.

Celtic played in the UEFA Cup Final a couple of years back. How many Irish sides or Welsh sides will ever manage that.

and before you start, have a look at how many foreigners are in Arsenal or Chelsea teams.

Most of our players wouldn't get into the England side BECAUSE THEY AREN'T ENGLISH.

McAteer is English. Morrison is English. Thats about it.

Shelbourne played in the UEFA cup this year.

For those with an intellect that is lower than that of a boiled potato I shall explain simply. regardless of the quality of the Scottish league the point is that we have a league that players who play for Scotland play in.

Interesting comment. Here's the line ups of the two top teams in scotland for their last matches.

Celtic
Marshall - Scot
Agathe - French
Varga - Slovak
Valgaeren - Belgian
McNamara - Scot
McGeady - Scot
Lennon - Irish
Petrov - Bulgarian
Thompson - English
Hartson - Welsh
Camara - Senegalese

Rangers
Klos - Dutch
Hutton - Scot
Andrews - Trinidad & Tobago
Boumsong - French
Vignal - French
Malcolm - Scot
Namouchi - French
Ricksen - Dutch
Lovenkrankds - Danish
Novo - Spanish
Thompson - Scot

A total of six Scots in two sides. Think that may be the root of the problem.

CB Cygan - French
CB Toure - Ivory Coast (I think)

LM Pires - French
RM Ljunberg - Swedish

CM Edu - Brazilian

F Reyes - Spain
F Henry - France

Subs?

Alumuni - Spanish
Bergkamp - Dutch
Fabregas - Spanish
Van Persie - Dutch

England seem to be doing ok.

He's retired from internationals now. And if I remember correctly, Morrison rejected Scotland.:lolol:

He did.

Morrisons Irishness is almost as spurious as Cascarino, but his Scottishness was even worse... papers that had gone "missing", etc...
