Saw Saw II last night, what a great little horror this is. Much in the gritty style of Se7en I thought. It was scary, intense, suspenseful with a decent story , a nice little suprise. 7.9 out of 10.

Saw I is meant to be even better. I will get that out and watch them arse about face.

Anyone else rate the Saw movies
???

I saw Saw as part of a journalistic freebie thing.
What a waste of my hours. Can't say i enjoyed much of it. The best thing is that Cary Elwes gives the worst acting performance of all time.
I dread the follow-up, but will no doubt have to view it at some stage. It's terrible that the only true fear is to see the "original" repeated.

Both. :)

I thought it was poor, thew first was average, a poor man's Seven, and the second was tepid.

The first one is excellent, haven't seen the second one. Most people didn't rate the second one as much as the first, but it would be interesting to see what you think US, having watched them in reverse order. I'd hazard a guess that the element of surprise that makes it so good is gone the second time around.

I seem to be on a completely different wavelength to 95% of the people on here, EVERY film I say is good you just get a load of Mark Kermode's coming back saying it is shite, it just gets boring after a while.

Don't get upset because we're not the same. I could pencil a boring list of past events that make me something and nothing of particular note. You could too, but with different outcomes, peoples, worths, scars, sexual triumphs and trophies. Don't matter.
I have watched films and felt the art and passion for me over years. I am not an expert or extraordinarily standard. Just some bloke you views that which he envies or wishes he could or couldn't be.

I don't like Saw. It was puny and redundant. An advert i had no respect for.

I wouldn't worry about it US. It's the same as when someone posts a picture of a bird, no matter what they look like people will always come out and slate her. It's all down to opinions, unfortunately human nature makes us more likely to bother using our time to post a negative one rather than a positive or indifferent one.

Garth, sometimes where film is concerned, you remind me of a GMTV presenter.
If anything bothers you, just put something on here and beg for silence or agreement in response.

probably beacuse the original was so good and this pales in comparison. Some of the "acting" also leaves a lot to be desired.

The Hills Have Eyes is good, even though it's a remake.
