I didn't like Saw II much either, thought the first one was better. I really struggled with the scene where the girl gets chucked into a pit of filthy syringes. I HATE needles, so the sight of her rummaging through all those syringes pretty much had me running from the room clawing at my clothes.
I'd agree with your assessment of Wrong Turn though, Uncle S. A film I viewed with extremely low expectations, but ended up thoroughly enjoying. Nothing very groundbreaking, but about as good a teen slasher flick I've ever seen. Must have been in the mood or something.
