Yawn, oh good another anti Murray thread. You can all crawl under your rocks again now until next year.

Quite so !

He (Andy Murray) has aquitted himself pretty well today, he is getting closer to that Grand Slam title and, when he wins one, others will follow.

He is the best we have had in, well, a lifetime if it has to be said.

Probably his best chance to win it with Nadal going out early, would have thought he would have beat Federer considering he's what, 47 now.

Oh well, never mind.

He was hardly 'spanked' was he? Pathetic.

It amuses me greatly how people take a pop at Andy Murray as personal abuse.

not anti the guy at all - did well

just thinking about the headlines in the Sun and Mail tomorrow - undoubtedly the word "Scot" will be used.
had he won he would be the great British hero

Probably the same type of people that didn't want Chelesea to win the CL final.

Aye and yea'll be waiting till hell freezes for an english player to be in a singles final.

Who cares, once again the porridge man fails in the only sport they can compete in. Back in the real world Scottish club football is finished, Scottish International football never got started to ever get to the finnish point, Scottish Rugby achieved the wooden spoon.

I hear you are good at ice sweeping, maybe focus on that.

He was brilliant for the first set and it just went downhill from there - still played well though. If it was against a lot of other players he would have won.

Federer deserved to win at the end of the day, he was fantastic today.

Glad the sweaty jock lost. Remember him displaying that Scottish flag and then playing in blue and white, don't blame him as Id hold the St George cross as Im English not British.

Very good match until it started raining, Murray is a quality player, if he played In a different era, he would have won many slams by now

People say that a lot. Which era, exactly? When Sampras was around? I oppose that opinion. He hasn't won one, I don't think he will win one. But he was fantastic today, much better than his previous finals and he has nothing to be ashamed about.
