Need a bit of help guys, coming down with my girlfriend beginning of September for a romantic weekend and planning to propose to her when were down.

Need a few recommendations of some romantic places to eat out, staying at the Drakes hotel near the Palace pier so walking distance to there would be great. Any ideas???

Aberdeen Steak House or you could get some fish and chips and walk along the beach, with the ring waiting at the bottom of the chip wrapper, all covered in vinegar and grease so it slips on easier.

I am not sure there is a woman alive who could say no to that.

You want romantic?

Why not recreate that scene from Quadrophenia? The one involving Lesley Ash and the back passage off East Street.

Women love the film star treatment.

Withdean at half time on the centre circle. You can then take your pick from the lovely catering they have there.

You cannot go wrong at Havanas. If you ask them nicely they will arrange for a few extras if they know that you are going to propose on the night.

What about that Chinese place (it's a ship) in the Marina, that's not bad.

Hotel du Vin may be worth a thought, good food, excellent wine and a decent bar.
Alternatively La Fourchette is quite poncey.

There's a very nice Thai restaurant in the Lanes, I think it's called Mai Ped, very cosy and brilliant food.

Cheers for all the help lads, Havanas sounds like a winner as heard it mentioned before, pity theres not a game on when were down as the centre circle idea could have been quality. Do you reckon they'll let me in Havanas with my stripes on????? :lolol:
