I was there a few years back and remember being 2-0 up and only getting a point....did Kuipers save a penalty?

It was round Christmas and I remember being stuck on the motorway for hours and kick-off put back by 15 mins??

Anyone remember this?

I went to see albion play in Blackpool in the early/mid 90s.

I remember Robert Codner scoring what I remember to be a classy long range volley in the last few minutes.

Not sure if we won or not but the goal sticks in my mind.

Can anyone decipher which game I am talking about??

I read through this thread to try and remember when I was there and have a similar memory. Bloody Codner did nothing all game then hit a screamer right at the end. I think WithdeanWombat is right about the 2-2 draw as no other game fits the profile.

Me and my missus stayed in a room above a pub, which seemed all right until about 2:30 in the morning when one of the bar staff was trying to kick our door in to escape from a ghost. Haven't been back since.

Remember one game, think it was in the 90's and Codner scored. Ran from the back of the open terrace to the front to celebrate with the players, but the stand was so big by the time I got to the front the players were on their way back to the half way line

I remember one Brighton fan off his head and had fallen asleep on the terrace beside me and only woke up when the game finished  ... what a wasted trip (no pun intended).

No one recalls John Crumplin's fantastic goal there in 1987??????

Whacked it from fully 35 yards and it just flew into the top corner

Could that infact been Codner and not Crumplin? I remember Codner scoring what my memory thinks was absolute cracker. Obviously not insulting your knowledge and knowing the difference between Codner and Crumplin, it might have been a different game.

I also remember hearing the crack of Sinclairs leg almost being snapped off under a challenge from Steve Forster.

Was it sunny, it was definitely sunny when I went, but I can't remember if it was cold or not. I really don't remember anything about the game.

Went once in the mid 70's on a Seagulls Special , it may have been February and was a freezing Saturday. OB walked us along the prom to tire us out but this did nothing to our magnificent vocal support throughout the game. On the walk back to the station it was so cold many of us wore our scarves wrapped around the face to combat the windchill.

As above (and notts) that's the one. teddy maybank got the goal.

It was being walked along the seafront and put into the ground some 90mins before the game that made me adopt the tactic of skipping into the station loos and waiting for the Albion fans to be escorted away so that I'd be free to enjoy the delights of a cafe or pub without being hereded around, as was the way back then.

First trip there was 1987/8. We were on a good run and in with a shout of promotion, but a win was essential. Garry Nelson put us one up, and it looked as if we had three points in the bag. Blackpool equalised with about two minutes to go, and other results were going against us.

From the kick off John 'Football Genius' Crumplin, who was still seen as a joke player in those days, picked up the ball on the right, weaved his way inside and unleashed a 30 yard piledriver that flew into the back of the net. It took a second or two for the goal to register with the Albion away crew, as were expecting it to be in row Z. Garry Nelson then added a third and we came away with three excellent points, and were promoted that season on the last day at home to Bradford City.

First & only time I have been to Blackpool, and one of my favourite ever away games.

Don't know what it is like now, but back then it was an absolute crap hole.
They had a particular nasty crew at the time, who smashed up Nellie Peck down West Street in the home fixture.

So it was sweet to see a victory on the pitch at there place.
