If someone said to you that they could go back in time and change just ONE thing in your past, what would you change?

Mine? i wouldn't have fallen out with my best mate at school over a bird!!

whats yours?

I'd not have bothered doing my A-level (equivalents...) again for the miniscule gain I got. Waste of a year + various opportunities that passed never to happen again.

Never gone to Plymouth when we got tonked 5-1:jester:

Seriously though, I don't think I have any real regrets so far, but then again I'm only 20.

Regrets?
I've had a few,
but then again,
too few to mention...

For a start I wouldn't have married either of my two wives, I also should have been unfaithful to the first one in the light of experience.

My college years. I should have spent less time drinking and more time studying and having casual sex. I am 49 and I can drink now....

Hither (sometimes Thither)
There is one chief decision i wish i hadn't made: going down that damned tunnel. Sounds like i was in some hellish porn movie, my lover's head spinning and spitting out green goo from her previous night spent with the incredible Hulk, but of course i mention the drunken thought of believing myself unharmable and cycling where i wanted to. I suppose i could look back and wish i was less bothered about being socially eyed at busy traffic lights and jeered at by strangers, being confronted and questioned; then i would have carried on through life like everyone else, or what i jealously believe it to be, strolling along without the jangling chill of being observed, of simply answering casual queries, of never quivering at the surprise of human touch, of warm grinning at dogs now matter how loud they bark or their backs arc in war. Just to have worries as per usual, but to mask them all with calm.
But sometimes accidents happen and i suppose i can't wish i was a different person in order to perhaps prevent that one. So instead, i'll go for the one thing i should have definitely not done, which was to start a desperate and depressive relationship with a woman who was my best friend's long-term ex. I always told myself i wanted to be a man of some kind of honour, even with the relentless cowardice that swamped my dare, and that i just shouldn't harm anyone really. But this woman, who i felt i loved in some way, should never have been nudely walked towards so drunkenly and regularly and i should never have listed the excuses that made such acts ok. They were not ok. They were selfish and damaging.

Mine is exactly the same as MYOB, I would have left school after my O/Level retakes rather than staying on for A/Levels, two years of my life for very little gain at all. I would still have made the same career choice though, at least I got something completely right, but to have had a two year head start on when I began could have made a fair difference in where I ended up.

I should have listened to my teachers when they said, "Can do better!"

If I could change one thing, I would have called my brother up to wish him a Happy New Year at midnight on January 1st, 2005. Cos me mum found him dead in his front room in the morning.

Starting smoking (now given up for 4 years)

I'm tempted to say saying "I do" to my ex wife....but if we hadn't of done that then we wouldn't of split up and then i wouldn't of met my present wife and had a gorgeous daughter (now 9)...so i'll stick with the smoking one
