What with all this rubbish about El Abd and the like being called legends it got me thinking.

How many legends do we have who have played for us and WHO are they ?

I shall give you Brian Horton.

Walker was good but not a legend surely. I think it may also come into play who was the first top players you saw for the Albion as they seem to stay in you mind.

The middle and late 70`s team for me.

Not a legend for his playing attributes, but will always be a legend in the eyes of many fans that saw the bald little maestro running down the wing.

Give you them.

Not so much great players but because they contributed to
''The Great Story''

True. You could also perhaps add Ormerod to that list for his gallant save towards the end. Although there is no tangible evidence that we would have gone bust if we had been relegated. Look at Scarborough though...

Tommy Cook – 123 goals for The Albion, an England centre-forward and a batsman for Sussex. He won a medal for gallantry in WWII and then returned as a manager. He sadly took his own life in 1950, as he never fully recovered from the plane crash that killed all of his crew.

Albion Legend!
